GAMEPLAY AND VOICE RECORDING
Full Privacy Statement Regarding In-Game Data
Last updated: August 20, 2026
Survival Legends is committed to maintaining a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment for all players. As part of our moderation and player-safety systems, Survival Legends uses custom server tooling capable of recording in-game gameplay activity and voice communication.
This statement explains what is recorded, why recordings are collected, how long they are retained, and when they may be reviewed.
1. What We Record
While connected to Survival Legends, the server may record information related to your gameplay, including:
- In-game player activity and interactions.
- Events and actions occurring during gameplay.
- Voice communications transmitted through the server's supported voice chat system.
- Information needed to associate recordings with relevant players, sessions, dates, and times.
- Information needed to associate punishments, such as Minecraft UUIDs and player IP addresses.
Recording is performed for moderation, player safety, rule enforcement, and investigation of player reports.
2. Voice Chat Recording
Players should understand that voice communications made through Survival Legends may be recorded while playing on the server.
Treat server voice chat as a recorded environment and avoid sharing sensitive or personally identifiable information through voice communications.
Survival Legends does not record a player's microphone independently of voice communications transmitted through the server. The recording system is intended to capture communications and gameplay occurring through Survival Legends.
3. Standard Retention Period
Under normal circumstances, gameplay and voice recordings are retained for a maximum of 7 days.
After the 7-day retention period expires, recordings are automatically deleted unless the recording is associated with a player report or moderation investigation.
4. Reported Incidents
If a player submits a report concerning another player, recordings relevant to the reported incident may be preserved for further review.
Recordings preserved because of a report may be retained for up to 30 days or until the report or investigation is resolved, whichever occurs first.
Once the matter has been resolved, preserved recordings will be deleted even if the full 30-day period has not elapsed. Only recordings reasonably relevant to the report or investigation are intended to receive this extended retention period.
5. Access to Recordings
Recordings are intended for internal moderation and administrative purposes. Access is limited to authorized Survival Legends staff members who require access for purposes such as:
- Reviewing player reports.
- Investigating potential rule violations.
- Evaluating moderation actions or appeals.
- Protecting the server and its community from abuse or misconduct.
Recordings are not intended to be publicly distributed or used for advertising or marketing purposes. Authorized Survival Legends Staff Members are also unable to download said recordings and are only accessible within the server.
6. Disclosure
Survival Legends will not disclose recordings or related in-game data to third parties unless required by law. Otherwise, recordings remain restricted to authorized server personnel.
7. Player Consent And Notice
By connecting to and continuing to use Survival Legends after being provided notice of these recording practices, you acknowledge that gameplay activity and voice communications transmitted through the server may be recorded and retained as described in this statement.
If you do not wish for your voice communications to be recorded, you should not use the server's voice communication features.
8. Purpose Limitation
Recordings collected through this system are intended specifically for server moderation, player safety, dispute resolution, and enforcement of Survival Legends rules.
Survival Legends will make reasonable efforts to avoid retaining recordings longer than necessary for these purposes and to ensure recordings are deleted according to the retention periods described above.
9. Changes To This Statement
Survival Legends may update this privacy statement as its recording or moderation systems change. Material changes to how recordings are collected, used, or retained should be communicated to players through the server's normal announcement channels.
Continued use of Survival Legends following an updated notice constitutes acknowledgment of the updated recording practices.
